Manipur capital Imphal was rocked by a bomb explosion early Thursday morning, ahead of Republic Day.
The blast suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) injured a minor girl.
The explosion took place on RIMS Road in Imphal.
The girl suffered minor head injury from a broken glass splattered from the blast.
The explosion took place at around 4:55 am near Lalambung Makong in front of a garment shop on RIMS Road under Lamphel Police Station in Imphal West district.
Five shops were also damaged after the bomb exploded under an electricity post in the area.
However, no individual or any other organization has claimed responsibility for the blast till filing of this report.
