Two back-to-back earthquakes hit Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur on Sunday morning.

According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the first earthquake, measuring magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale, occurred in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pangin at around 1:02 am.

The earthquake hit 95 kilometres north-northwest of Pangin in Arunachal Pradesh at 1:02 am at a depth of 17 kilometres.

Another earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale hit the Ukrul district in Manipur.

The NCS said, the earthquake hit 20 kilometres northwest of Shirui at 1.22 am at a depth of 30 kilometres.

No casualties have been reported from the incident so far.
