An Army recruitment rally will be conducted in Manipur from October 10 onwards till October 18.

The recruitment rally will be held at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium located at Luwangsangbam near Imphal in Manipur’s Imphal East district.

The rally is being organized by Army Recruitment Office in Rangapahar in Nagaland’s Dimapur.

This was disclosed by additional deputy commissioner Shamim A Shah of Imphal east district.

He addressed media persons at the office of the Manipur Cricket Association, Luwangsangbam near Imphal on Tuesday.

“Preparation is on full swing with the help of line departments under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner of Imphal East district,” additional deputy commissioner Shah said.

District Police Imphal East will look after law and order, safety of candidates and traffic management.

Director S Malik of Army Recruitment Office, Rangapahar said Army recruitment rally is ready to conduct here to select the fittest candidates in a transparent manner.

There is no specific number of candidates to be recruited.

But whoever fits and pass the further tests will be selected.

The concerned state government departments are also expected to look after the necessary services and facilities during the recruitment drive, he added.

Only the candidates who have passed fitness test including 1.6 kms race out of 11,000 candidates who applied for the recruitment drive, will be allowed to sit for written test on November 24 next at Rangapahar in Dimapur.

Candidates from Chandel, Jiribam, Kakching, Kamjong and Senapati districts will be allowed to participate in recruitment rally on the first day of recruitment drive on October 10 while candidates from Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal districts will participate on October 11.

Candidates from Churachandpur, Noney, Pherzwal, Ukhrul and Tamenglong districts will participate on October 12.

At the same time candidates from Thoubal district and Imphal East and Imphal West districts will take part the recruitment rally on October, 13 and 14 respectively.
