Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday inspected preparations at Luwangshangbam in Imphal East District for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to the state capital on March 16 next.

Biren Singh further reiterated that ‘no incomplete project’ would be inaugurated.

The chief minister urged all concerned not to unnecessarily politicize the matter.

Biren along with top officials oversaw preparations going on at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, where the Prime Minister would inaugurate and lay foundation stones of different projects and attend a public reception function.

He also inspected the NISU Ground, where a temporary helipad is being constructed for landing of the helicopter carrying the Prime Minister.

Later, the progress in the work of Civil Secretariat and Rani Gaidinliu Memorial Complex located at Mantripukhri was also inspected by the State Chief Minister.

Interacting with the media, Biren Singh said the State Government had identified around 14 projects for inauguration and foundation-laying by the Prime Minister.

Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the Indian Science Congress at Manipur University that will take place from March 16 to 20 next.
