The Assam Government announced a major reshuffle in the State Election Department on Monday with 14 Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers being transferred. As per the order dated October 22, 2018 issued by MC Sahu, Chief Electoral Officer and Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Election Officer of Mangaldai Antara Gogoi has been transferred and posted as Election Officer of Nalbari district.
Kartik Kalita, Election Officer of Kamrup, has been transferred and posted as Election Officer of Mangaldai. Mandira Baruah, Election Officer of Lakhimpur, has been transferred to Sadiya as the Election Officer while the present incumbent Jagadish Brahma has been transferred and posted as election officer of Chirang.
On the other hand, Sudeep Nath, who was Election Officer of Karimganj district, has been transferred and posted as Election Officer of Silchar while Silchar’s Election Officer Basabi Thakuria has been transferred and posted as Election Officer of Bongaigaon district.
Bokakhat’s Election Officer Jimlee Saikia has been transferred and posted as Election Officer of Kamrup (Metro) against the post which was lying vacant.
Kakumoni Saikia, Assistant Commissioner of Dhakuakhana, who was placed at the disposal of Election Department, has now been posted as Election Officer in the same place.
Navadeep Changmai, who was Assistant Commissioner of Titabor, has been made Election Officer of Titabor against the post which was lying vacant while Nilotpal Pathak, Assistant Commissioner of Bijni, has been posted as Election Officer of Udalguri district against the vacant post.
Palash Rajkumar Ahom, Circle Officer, Mikirbheta, has been transferred and posted as Election Officer of Lakhimpur while Gohpur’s Circle Officer Romy Baruah has newly been posted as Election Officer of Gohpur.
Devajyoti Gogoi, Assistant Commissioner, Silchar, has been posted as Election Officer of Karimganj district while Manorama Morang, Circle Officer, Demow, Sivasagar, has been posted as Election Officer of Bokakhat.
