Assam will have a three-phase polling for its 14 Lok Sabha constituencies. According to Election Commission announcement, the Assam election will be held in three phases on April 11 (Phase-I), April 18 (Phase-II) and April 23 (Phase-III).
Accordingly, in the first phase on April 11 polls will be held in five seats–Tezpur, Koliabor, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, and Lakhimpur.
On the other hand, Karimganj, Silchar, Autonomous district (Dima Hasao & Karbi Anglong), Mangaldai and Nawgong constituencies will go to polls in phase two on April 18.
The final phase of polls in the state will be held on April 23 in four seats—Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta and Gauhati. The votes will be counted on May 23.
