The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won all the 15 seats during the polls of Kangki Beloguri LAMPS (Large Scale Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society) Ltd in Howraghat Legislative Assembly in Karbi Anglong.

The counting was held on Thursday which concluded at around 11 at night. The Congress tally was nil.

Of the 15 seats, 12 were general, 2 were reserved for women, and one was reserved for ST/SC candidates.

There are a total of 799 share holders in the Kangki Beloguri Lamps Ltd. The Congress contested the polls from all the 15 seats and lost them all. There was one independent candidate and he also could not win the polls.

The counting started at 4 pm and went on till midnight and the result late at night.

Those who won from the BJP are Baliram Engti, Bhakta Ghose, Dhaneswar Boro, Dilip Sing Engti, Ganesh Bora, Longki Engti, Mahendra Rongchehon, Mayarani Namasudra, Mukul Nath, Numal Pathak, Subonta Nath, Sudarshan Chauhan, Samsing Teron, Bina Brahma and Khan Terangpi.

The returning officer was Deepak Mandal and his assistants were Bichitra Engti and Ragen Engti.

Executive Member, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Khonsing Rongpi, president, BJP, ST Morcha, East Karbi Anglong District Committee (EKADC), Rukma Tokbi and others were present at the Lamps office at night to greet the newly-elected members.
