Hailing the process of publishing National Register of Citizen (NRC) in Assam, the Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari has suggested for NRC like process to identity and evict Rohingyas and Bangladeshis living illegally in the national Capital.

Tiwari has demanded the Arvind Kejriwal government should conduct a survey akin to the NRC to identify and evict Rohingyas and Bangladeshis living illegally in the national Capital

He claimed that these people were depriving the poor in India of their rights.

“We will soon complete the activity and hand over the report to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP also urges the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government to conduct a similar survey to find out how many illegal migrants are living in Delhi,” Tiwari said.

The Delhi BJP has written a letter to the CM on the issue, he said.

“We have also apprised of the Home Ministry of the matter. The Delhi government must act now to ensure eviction of illegal migrants,” Tiwari said.

“The Delhi government should identify and ensure action against Rohingyas and Bangladeshis living illegally in different parts of Delhi,” he said.

Tiwari said that district magistrates, sub-divisional magistrates among others are aware where migrants are living currently, including Ridge area “so it won’t be a herculean task for the government in Delhi”.

Tiwari however said that by demanding action against them (Illegal migrants), the party did not mean to throw them in jail. “They should be sent back to their respective nations,” he clarified.
