A woman in Gujarat recently filed a complaint against her husband and in-laws stating that they threw her out of the house over COVID-19 fears.

As per reports, the 35-year-old woman also claimed that her two children- aged five and six- were also forced to leave with her.

The lady who used to live with her husband and in-laws in Vadodara’s Karelibaug area.

She further claimed that her mother-in-law suffered cardiac problems and was admitted to a hospital in May.

In order to take care of her mother-in-law who underwent a cardiac surgery, the lady used to regularly visit her in the hospital.

However, when the lady developed a cough and respiratory problems, her husband and other family members thought her to be infected with COVID-19 and asked her to leave the house and go to Ahmedabad to cure herself and return only when she recovered fully.

After she declined to leave the house, her husband brutally assaulted her and pushed her along with her two children out of the house.

After being thrown out, she went to live at their Ahmedabad residence and was living there for over a month.

She also went for treatment at a private clinic in the city following which she recovered.

On June 29, her husband reached the Ahmedabad house and forced her to leave from there again.

When she resisted, he threatened to divorce her and also leave the children.

After this incident, the woman went to the police station in Ahmedabad’s Anandnagar area and lodged an FIR against her husband.
