Most of the mobile phones now come with dual SIM facility.

In the available slots in the phone, the customers use SIMs from two different companies.

While one of the SIMs is used for personal purposes with internet facility, the other is used just for receiving incoming calls and it is rarely recharged.

The company of the ‘secondary’ SIM gets hurt as it does not get any monetary benefit despite the fact that it continues to provide communication facility over the mobile phone.

The problem increased significantly after the mega entry of Reliance Jio in the telecom industry which started providing heavy discount on the recharge of its SIM.

After this, the other telecom companies also made it mandatory to recharge their SIMs with Rs 35 per month to keep the connection active.

Now, here’s good news for the dual SIM users as they would be able to keep both of their SIMs active by recharging only one SIM.

Reliance Jio has come up with a solution to end the issue faced by both the dual SIM users and other telecom operators.

According to the new rule of the telecom, a mobile phone user can recharge a SIM and increase the validity of the other SIM in his or her mobile phone, say media reports.

In order to avail this facility, the mobile users will have to link their secondary number with Jio.

The secondary number can be linked easily through the My Jio app.

As the other SIM is linked to Jio, the customer will be able to recharge his or her ‘secondary number’ by recharging only one SIM and increase validity of both the SIMs.
