Das after taking the charge said she would put all efforts to run the society smoothly.

“After being the chairperson of the Red Cross Society Assam wing, I am looking forward to work for the society efficiently,” Das said.

Diganta Bujarbaruah, general secretary of the IRCS Assam wing, said that the new executive body under the chairpersonship of TY Das would look into the allegations of corruption and fund embezzlement brought by Red Cross Discharged Employee Union (RCDEU) and take necessary action if any evidence is found.
