In an unprecedented move for fulfilment of their social objectives, Aizawl FC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mizoram State Aids Control Society (MSACS) on Thursday to jointly fight against drugs abuse and prevent spread of HIV/AIDS through the selected 4 Aizawl FC Academies at Zawlnuam, Kawnpui, Khawzawl and Lengpui Towns.

Aizawl FC have been known for their concern for social issues and fight against drugs and alcohol.

In fact, the Club regretted support of wine companies for sponsorship and promotions inspite of their dire need for financial assistance on the ground of morality and doctrine of Christianity.

The deed of agreement was signed by Dr Lalmalsawmi Sailo, Project Director, MSACS and Robert R Royte, President and owner of Aizawl FC.

Meanwhile, on Friday defending champions Aizawl FC will host in-form Gokulam FC in their final match of the ongoing Hero I-League.

Aizawl FC who are currently stranded sixth in the table with 21 points from 17 games, have found it hard to replicate its last season’s title-winning form.
