Late Gadapani Pathak's wife Swarnali Pathak with CM Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati.

The family members of dead engineer Gadapani Pathak, who was abducted and murdered on May 3, 2012 by suspected militants, have demanded that the trial of the case should be held in a fast track court.

The Old Boys Association Sainik School Goalapara (OBASSG) on Friday organised the 7th death anniversary of Late Pathak at Guwahati Press Club here where the members of the family and alumni of the Sainik School Goalpara remembered the former student.

The OBASSG demanded the government to initiate action and punish the culprits as seven years have passed since the brutal killing and justice is yet to prevail.

Speaking at the programme, Swarnali Pathak, wife of late Pathak, appealed the government that justice should be provided and there must be speedy action related to the case.

OBASSG while expressing concern over the failure of the government to punish the culprits has also demanded that the case should be transferred to Guwahati as the family has problem to travel to Abhayapuri.

Apart from her others who spoke and shared their concern were Pathak’s relative Pranab Jyoti Deka, Anowar Hussain Saikia and Diganta Gogoi, president and working president of OBASSG respectively.
