All international passenger flight operations have been suspended till April 14 midnight.

This has been done in the wake of the 21 days nationwide lockdown imposed in an attempt to contain coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a press statement in this regard on Thursday.

The statement read, “It has been decided that scheduled international commercial passenger services shall remain closed till 6.30 pm (GMT) of April 14, 2020. This will not apply to approved international all-cargo operations and flights.”

All domestic flights have already been cancelled in the wake of the 21-day lockdown.

Earlier on Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that as many as 649 positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country.

These include 47 foreign nationals.

There have been 14 deaths due to COVID-19 in the country till Thursday.
