AICC general secretary and northeast in charge Luizinho Faleiro on Wednesday said that Mizoram would become the turning point of Indian politics as the Congress would reverse BJP’s agenda of communal hatred, cultural divide and religious persecution.

“The last bastion of the Indian National Congress, the state of Mizoram will become the turning point of Indian politics; we will reverse the BJP agenda of communal hatred, cultural divide and religious persecution from Mizoram,” Faleiro, said in Aizawl.

Talking to newspersons at Aizawl Press Club, the former chief minister of Goa Luizinho Faleiro said the nation is facing its most disturbing time with the NDA government failing in every corner.

“The nation is facing its most disturbing time at the Centre, the nation’s economy is on a meltdown, rupee is collapsing, petroleum products’ price is hiking and unemployment is high as never before, farmers’ suicide is on the rise. The nation has seen it all. Mizoram polls will become the turning point,” Luizinho Faleiro said.

The AICC general secretary who is presently staying in Mizoram to oversee the November 28 Mizoram polls said Narendra Modi’s policies have failed in every corner saying that his demonetization did not bring home any black money, adding that the demonetization robbed the country’s currency.

“The junior Modis have looted our banks and ran off to foreign countries. At this rate of economical catastrophe, many banks will be closed,” Faleiro added.

Luizinho Faleiro said that the coming polls would be Gujarat‘s model of hatred versus Mizoram’s model of peace, prosperity and progress.

“The Congress will end Modi’s policy of hatred, cultural divide. We will stop the BJP from telling you which religion you should follow. They will stop telling you what to wear and what not to wear,” Luizinho Faleiro said.

The Congress general secretary said that there cannot be anti-incumbency factor while the state of Mizoram prospers adding that Zoramthanga led MNF party was very much part and parcel of the BJP led NEDA in the northeast.

“I have to tell you that the MNF president Zoramthanga is the founder member of the NEDA, Amit Shah’s brainchild political platform, a platform of religious intolerance. NEDA is not meant for Mizoram. Do not give remote control to the BJP through the MNF, like they have done it in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur,” Luizinho Faleiro said.
