The beleaguered Congress in Tripura has finally made public its poll manifesto with just five days left for the Assembly elections.

Releasing the party’s document for the ensuing Assembly elections in the State, Puduchery Chief Minister V Narayanswamy on Monday said the Congress party is committed to work for overall development, peace, creating employment and bettering healthcare in the state of Tripura.

The Congress manifesto rubbished the Left Front’s claim of ‘Swarnajug’ or golden era during its regime and termed the government under Manik Sarkar as a failure.

It also termed BJP’s call for ‘acche din’ as a trick to fool people and urged the voters to vote for Congress for all-round development and job opportunities for the educated youth.

In an slanted reference to the ‘Tipraland’ demand of Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) that has entered into a rpe-poll alliance with the BJP the Congress leader made it clear that the party is not in favour of division of the State.
