BSNL is set to launch 4G services in Assam for their customers in association with Department of Telecom (DoT).

Speaking at a press meet in Guwahati, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s General Manager of Assam Telecom Circle, Sandeep Govil on Monday announced various prepaid and postpaid customer friendly schemes for mobile and landline customers at a very nominal rate.

‘Ghar Wapsi Plan’ as Holi offer and ‘ASEEM’ plan are some important plans he said.

He also stated that BSNL has an edge over other operators in download speeds according to a recent survey by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

To entice customers, BSNL has also launched international WIFI hotspots across all countries focusing on tourists spots mainly. He also said currently there are 275 WIFI hotspot zones in Assam out of which 165 are in rural areas and they are planning to add more.
