Meet Anuradha and Manas Dewan, a couple who successfully completed an ambitious journey, a motorbike trip of 4 months, spanning 18 countries and 20,000 kilometers across Europe and Asia.
Their quest was to explore this beautiful earth, to experience nature in the raw and to bond with strangers from all over the globe.
Using their own savings, the Dewan couple travelled on their India registered Ducati motorbike over 18 countries: from Spain through Portugal, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Italy, Czech and Vatican as well as the Eastern European nations of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece and finally Turkey.
Manas Dewan hails from Rehabari, Guwahati and currently resides in Pune. A corporate professional with over 20 years of experience, he has headed some of the world’s best brands across India, Europe and Middle East. His wife, Anuradha Bhonsale Dewan holds a PhD in Philosophy and is a reputed life coach and corporate Trainer.
In his recently published book “Dear Journey”, Manas Dewan describes the hard act of casting away from the familiar world and plunging headfirst into the unknown. “Dear Journey” is now available in Guwahati’s bookstore ‘Books and Beyond’ and also on Amazon India.
The book is a compilation of two novellas bound into a single volume. The first novella, titled ‘Dear Journey Freewheeling’ is a collection of 25 humorous and turbulent as well as deeply inspiring narratives from the 18-country motorbike expedition.
