Union minister and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, who was ailing for quite some time, has passed away. He was 74.
Paswan’s son Chirag paswan on Thursday evening made the news public on his twitter handle.
“Papa …. Now you are not in this world but I know you are always with me wherever you are. Miss you Papa…,” Chirag Paswan said in a tweet.
Paswan recently underwent heart surgery at Delhi’s Fortis hospital. He had been in active politics for more than five decades and is one of the country’s most noted Dalit leaders.
Ram Vilas Pawan was elected as MLA for the first time in 1969. In 2019, he finished 50 years in political life. He serves as minister in cabinets of five former Prime Ministers.
