Kokrajhar
A surrendered National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) cadre was seriously injured on Thursday when unidentified gunmen shot at him at Dumbazar Dolgaon under Kachugaon police station in Kokrajhar district.
The injured surrendered rebel has been identified as Rasana Basumatary alias Kanda. Injured Rasana was immediately rushed to MRM hospital in Kokrajhar but subsequently shifted to Lower Assam Hospital in Bongaigaon for advance treatment.
His condition is stated to be critical. Police suspected involvement of NDB (S) in the incident.
