Singer Ajay Phukan appointed Congress spokesperson in Assam

Singer-composer Ajay Phukan, who had recently joined the Assam Pradesh Congress Party, on Friday was made the party spokesperson and media panellist.

The announcement was made APCC president Ripun Bora.

Moreover, singers Babu Baruah and Nekib Ahmed- both of whom had also joined the Congress recently- were jointly made secretaries of the party along with Ajay Phukan.

Post their appointments, questions have been raised as to how were they appointed in such important designations immediately after joining the party?

Apart from Ajay Phukan, Manoranjan Konwar and Girindra Kalita have also been appointed as spokesperson of the party.

Moreover, Rupesh Gowala, Raju Sahu, and former MLA Dipen Pathak were appointed as general secretaries of the party.
