Fifteen days after his last Assam visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state again on February 7, 2021.

The news has been confirmed by BJP party sources.

The frequent visit of the Prime Minister is significant keeping in view of the ensuing Assam Assembly polls 2021.

On February 23, 2021, Prime Minister Modi attended a huge programme organized at historic Jerenga Pathar in Sivasagar district where he distributed land allotment certificates to 1.06 lakh indigenous people of the state.

In his next visit, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a medical college at Biswanath Chariali, the headquarters of Biswanath district.

Party sources informed that Prime Minister Modi will also attend another programme near Gohpur in the district.

Modi will lay the foundation stone at the old weekly market in Biswanath Chariali, around 2 km away from the town.

The BJP workers of the state are excited over the Prime Minister’s visit to the state as the party has targeted to win 100+ seats out of 126 seats in the ensuing Assembly polls. (With inputs from our Biswanath correspondent Kaji Jeidul Islam )
