Guwahati: As the budget session approaches, Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi voiced strong criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, expressing his scepticism about any meaningful measures being taken to address inflation and unemployment.

In an interview to ANI, MP Gaurav Gogoi stated, “I don’t expect anything from PM Modi and the government.”

“PM Modi has time for Ambani and Adani but not for the poor and the middle class. Inflation and unemployment will continue,” Gogoi said.

“Some marketing gimmicks will remain, and the PM will use some fancy terms, but I don’t expect him to take any concrete steps to fight inflation and unemployment,” He added.

Gaurav Gogoi, also expressed his hope for an impartial House while voicing criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government.

Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi lamented the removal of parts of leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi’s statements from the parliamentary records.

The upcoming budget session in the Parliament, commencing on July 22 and concluding on August 12, marks finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s sixth budget presentation.
