“Establishment of educational institutions always lead to making a society disciplined, strong and fortified with good societal and human values,’ said Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of Silver Jubilee celebrations of Kalabari College at Gohpur in Biswanath on Friday.

“An educational institution has a multi-dimensional role,” Sonowal said.

“Apart from giving degrees, an educational institution should spread the lights of knowledge and spiritual orientation,” he added.

Praising the former and present members of the college, Sonowal said, “The college has traversed a long path towards creating an intellectually imbued society.”

He also took stock of the sacrifice of the people belonging to 52 villages in greater Kolabari area.

“The 21st century is a century of science and technology where people can establish their supremacy through proper education,” he said.

“It is only through education that one can become strong and can reach the zenith of success,” the CM added.
