Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and Dr B Barooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) signed an agreement under which NRL will provide support to the tune of Rs two crore.
With this the institute will set up a Pediatric Oncology Ward.
Dr A C Kataki, director BBCI and Sr CGM (HR & Legal) NRL D Choudhury signed the agreement in presence of Sr CGM (Mktg& BD) NRL B Ekka and senior representatives from both the sides at NRL corporate office.
The Pediatric Oncology Ward will consist of a 15 bedded ICU, 10 bedded day care chemotherapy unit and a recreational cum creativity area.
This is taken up by the company under its CSR programme to support children suffering from cancer.
