Inter-district movement in Assam to resume from August 16

Inter-district movement in Assam will resume from August 16. 

This was informed by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday. 

Briefing the media, CM Sarma further said that total curfew in all the districts in Assam has been lifted.

However, there will be curfew will come into force in all the districts of the State by 5pm and shops will close by 4 pm.

Meanwhile, in the districts of Lakhimpur and Golaghat, shops will close by 12pm and curfew will come into force at 1pm till 5 in the morning next day.

“We are planning to further extend curfew relaxations till 6pm by next week if everything goes according to plan,” Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
