Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi has nominated Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, director, Students’ Welfare, Gauhati University as AIU observer of the 35th National Youth Festival.
The youth festival will be hosted by Amity University in Noida from February 3 to 7, 2020.
Recently Dr Kakati was the AIU observer for South Zone Inter University Youth Festival held at Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu.
Dr Kakati has been selected on the basis of his vast experience in organizing and managing youth programmes held in Gauhati University like East Zone Inter University Youth Festival, various All India & East Zone Inter University tournaments, National Integration Camps and various other regional and state level programmes.
As an AIU observer, Dr Kakati will oversee various arrangements during the festival for smooth running of the festival.
National Youth Festival held under the Association of Indian Universities is a prestigious festival participated by universities from all over India.
The premiere festival showcases the rich cultural heritage, diversity and unity of India.
Dr Kakati is the first official from Assam to be nominated as AIU observer in UNIFEST.
