An incident of firing was reported in Cachar along the Assam-Manipur border on Tuesday.
According to sources, only one round of shot was fired that resulted in injury of a civilian.
The shot was fired by suspected NSCN-IM militants.
The injured person has been admitted to the Silchar Medical College Hospital in Cachar, Assam.
Meanwhile, a police team led by Cachar SP Ramandeep Kaur has rushed to the firing spot.
