Top Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has teared into the ranks of the BJP over the issue of rising unemployment in Assam.

Priyanka Gandhi, who is in Assam on a two day tour for election campaigning slammed the BJP Governments both at the Centre and the State for the rising rate of unemployment.

“Every 6th graduate in Assam is unemployed. Every 10th postgraduate in Assam is unemployed,” said Priyanka Gandhi.

Priyanka Gandhi further accused the Government of deliberately not filling up the vacant posts in various Government department of the State.

“3 lakh posts are lying vacant in various departments. The Government could have filled these posts, but are not filling up deliberately,” alleged Priyanka Gandhi.

Priyanka Gandhi further slammed the BJP Government for allegedly privatising various sectors in the State.

Taking a dig at the BJP-AGP alliance, Priyanka Gandhi said that AGP is no longer Asom Gana Parishad, it is rather “Dilli Gana Parishad”.

“Even the Asom Gana Parishad has been converted to Dilli Gana Parishad. The elephant once is now a bhigi billi (terrified cat),” Priyanka Gandhi said.
