Much to the embarrassment of the district jail authorities in Darrang, as many as 25 inmates of the Mangaldai district jail have tested positive for COVID-19 positive on Saturday.
On the other hand, the district on the day registered another 30 new COVID-19 cases.
With these, the overall figure of COVID positive in the district has gone up to 866.
However, until Friday 219 cases remained active as informed by an official source.
