A contactless mobile application has been developed by a group of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati students.
This has been done with an aim to ease air travelling and keeping in mind the social distancing norms during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Named as ‘Flyzy’, the creators claim this application as India’s first dedicated aviation modern technology solution for enabling air travel safe and contactless.
The application, according to the makers, will enable a personalized experience for passengers, airlines and airports.
“Flyzy is going to be the country’s first aviation mobile-based, contactless software technology,” Hindustan Times reported quoting Deepak Meena, CEO and co-founder of ‘Flyzy’
Meena further said that ‘Flyzy’ has been developed as per International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines.
He further said that ‘Flyzy’ is completely safe and there is no threat to cybersecurity.
“The mobile application will strengthen the aviation industry, making them future-ready and fight against diseases like COVID-19,” Meena was further quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
‘Flyzy’ will have four main features, which will help travellers in knowing- passenger processing, airport shopping, parking, baggage drop.
Meena further informed that talks are on with airport authorities of Guwahati, Mumbai and Bangalore to operationalise the application.
Meena further said that the application will help to maintain social-distancing, without making the process slow.
Another student Hansraj Patel informed that the contactless process will make reduce the virus spread and motivate people in regaining the confidence to fly again.
