In a nail-biting finish, the Cotton University team, which represented Assam, won the Regional Level Inter-state Online Red Ribbon Quiz Competition (Eastern Zone) on HIV/AIDS.
The team from Cotton University defeated all the teams from the Northeast and West Bengal under the Eastern Zone of the online quiz competition.
The competition was organized by the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) through online mode and was held on January 8, 2021,
Earlier, the Cotton University team, comprising Plawan Sarma and Raktim Ranjan Baishya, won the State Level Red Ribbon Online Quiz Competition.
The state-level competition was organized by the Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS) on November 10, 2020.
The team from Assam will now contest in the national-level online quiz competition that will be held on January 12 on National Youth Day.
The teams from other states, which made it to the national-level competition, are from Rajasthan (Northern Zone), Daman Diu (Western Zone) and Puducherry (Southern Zone).
