Non-governmental organization (NGO) Sahakhi on Sunday honoured Northeast Now reporter Jahnobi Boruah with Corona Warrior Award at a function in Guwahati.
Like the previous years, NGO Sahakhi honoured a number of persons with the Sahakhi and Corona Warrior Award this year for their services in different fields.
Mrinalini Devi, the vice-president of Asam Sahitya Sabha, presented the award to Jahnobi Boruah.
Along with the award, Jahnobi Boruah was felicitated with a cheleng chador, trophy, memento, emblem of rhino and Aronai of the Bodo community.

Journalists Nipa Kakati, Ranjita Rabha, Animesh Nath, Mintu Hazarika, Bitopan Bora, Mitali Konwar, Krishna Bhuyan, Chandan Kalita, Pooja Das, advocate Adipta Chaudhury, teacher Badan Gogoi, education officer Arupjyoti Mahanta, nature lover Anup Mohan, RTI activist Kriti Kamal Bora, Law Students’ Union president Sanjib Bora and TAIPA spokesperson Gunakanta Gogoi were also honoured with the Corona Warrior Award.
Besides, Northeast Now video journalist Dipjyoti Rajbongshi was given special honour by Sahakhi president Trishna Nath.
Dipjyoti Rajbongshi was nominated for Sahakhi Award for the year 2022.
At the award presentation ceremony, Asam Sahitya Sabha vice-president Mrinalini Devi was present as the chief guest while well-known actress Chetana Das and police officer Mukul Saikia were present as guests of honour.
