Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, will be in Guwahati on Saturday on a one-day trip.

The Supreme Court Chief Justice will visit the city to take part in an orientation programme on “Protection of Wildlife” at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara.

Judicial officers of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and officers of the forest department will attend the event.

The programme will be organized by the Judicial Academy, Assam, in collaboration with World Wide Fund for Nature, India.

Along with Chief Justice Bobde, Supreme Court justice Hrishikesh Roy, Sikkim high court chief justice AK Goswami and justice (retired) Ajit Singh will also join the event.

Gauhati High Court chief justice (acting) N Kotiswar Singh and other judges of the High Court will be present for the valedictory session that will start from 04:15 pm on Saturday.
