Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday paid tribute to martyred CRPF inspector Dilip Kumar Das at Bharegaon village in Sarupeta under newly-created Bajali district.
Dilip Kumar Das lost his life during Naxal attack at Bijapur in Chhattisgarh on April 3.
His body was found in the wee hours of Sunday and was immediately sent to the district hospital in Raipur, where the doctors declared him dead.
He joined the CRPF in 2001 and was posted in Chhattisgarh.
The braveheart from Assam is survived by his wife Pranjali Das and two daughters namely Hiyamani Das (11) and Risha Das (3), his father Banamali Das and his mother Maina Das.

At least 22 security personnel were killed and 30 others were injured in an encounter with Naxals in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
The attack took place in a forest along the border between Bijapur and Sukma districts of Chhattisgarh.

CRPF inspector Dilip Kumar Das, who was martyred during a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh, was cremated with full state honours in his village at Sarupeta in newly-created Barpeta district.
Das was serving as an inspector with the 210 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Chhattisgarh.
The mortal remains of the martyr reached Guwahati airport on Tuesday morning.
From there, his mortal remains were taken to 175 CRPF camp located at Dharapur and then to his hometown at Sarupeta in Bhabanipur.
He was cremated on Tuesday in his native village in presence of hundreds of people and well-wishers, CRPF and police officials.
Full state honour was given to the martyr, who sacrificed his life for the country.
