A Guwahati-based businessman was shot at by two motorcycle-borne miscreants on Sunday evening at Nalapara area of the city.
Identified as Jeherul Islam, originally from Barpeta, he was immediately rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) with the bullet injuring his leg.
Police have begun investigating the incident and detailed information about it is awaited.
In September, an employee of a city-based steel shop was killed by unknown miscreants.
