The Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday seized a huge quantity of Phensedyl bottles and cannabis in Assam-West Bengal border.
The seizures were made in two separate operations carried out by the BSF personnel.
In the first operation, the personnel of 47 Bn BSF seized cannabis of around 25 kilograms.
The seized cannabis was seized while it was being secretly taken to Wet Bengal from Assam.
In a separate operation, the personnel of 100 Bn BSF seized 130 bottles of banned Phensedyl cough syrup.
The banned medicine was also being transported to Assam from the neighbouring state.
