Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) is committed to developing the entire Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) region,” said BTC executive member-cum-chairman of Tangla Municipal Board Bonjar Daimari.

“The party is committed to develop the roads and improve the communication system of the region,” Daimari further said.

He was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of drain along Tangla-Bhergaon road in Udalguri district on Sunday.

The drain will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh under the State-Owned Priority Development (SOPD).

“The third Bodo pact signed between the Centre, state government and Bodo stakeholders will bring peace, prosperity and progress in the region,” he reiterated.

“The pact will not hamper the forthcoming Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) polls scheduled to be held on the first week of April,” he added.

“BPF will leave no stone unturned for promoting economic prosperity in the region,” he further added.
