A huge consignment of drugs, including yaba tablets, worth Rs eight lakh was seized along the Assam-Bengal border in Dhubri district on Sunday and one person was arrested in this connection, police said.
Acting on a tip off, a police team led by Trinayan Bhuyan, deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Dhubri conducted a raid in a house of Mojam Ali Seikh at Chagolia part II village and seized 12000 yaba tablets.
In this connection, police arrested one drug paddler.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the other person and a case has been registered.
