Haflong: The two workers of a road construction site in Dima Hasao, Assam who were allegedly abducted are reported to be untraced.

They were employed by Anusha Project Private Limited (APPL) and were abducted by unidentified armed men on Friday.

The incident occurred on Friday night in the Nianglo Lungria area, disrupting the construction of the Mahur-Tamenglong road.

The abducted workers, Abdul Kadir from Karimganj and Iqbal Laskar from Hailakandi still remain missing despite massive search operations by rescue teams.

The project’s senior manager, Sushil Kumar Srivastava appealed for increased security in the area.

The local police have launched a search operation for the missing workers.

The Nianglo Lungria Zeme Students’ Union (NLZSU) has also condemned the abduction and urged swift action from the police.
