A 22-year-old Muslim woman has alleged that she was kicked out of an electronic store by the proprietor of the shop for ‘wearing jeans pant instead of burqa’.

Nurul Amin, the proprietor of the retail electronic store at Biswanath Chariali in Assam, allegedly asked the girl to leave the shop for wearing jeans pants.

The girl reportedly stepped into the store to buy an earphone but Amin refused to sell the item and misbehaved with her for wearing jean pants. He also allegedly advised her to wear a burqa.

Following the incident, the girl’s father went to the shop to protest against their behavior towards his daughter. But Nurul’s son Rafikul Islam allegedly manhandled him.

The family of Nurul Islam hailed from Nagaon and stay at a rented house at Biswanath Chariali.

As per reports, police have nabbed Nurul Amin and his son Rafikul based on a complaint filed by the girl’s father at Biswanath police station.
