Security forces have apprehended an active cadre and an over ground worker (OGW) of ULFA-I in Assam’s Tinsukia district.
The ULFA-I cadre and the OGW were apprehended from near Tinkopani reserve forest.
“Security Forces in a joint operation with Assam Police apprehended one active cadre and one OGW of ULFA-I in general area Tinkopani Reserve Forest, Tinsukia District, Assam,” an official statement read.
The security forces have also recovered a pistol, live ammunition and other stores from the possession of the apprehended duo.

Meanwhile, the arrested ULFA-I cadre and the OGW have been handed over to the Tinsukia police.
“The apprehended cadre and the OGW along with recovered items handed over to Assam Police, Tinsukia District, Assam for further investigation,” the statement read.
