Pathsala: Two men lost their lives in separate road accidents in Bajali, Assam.

On August 15, Harpati Kalita, 53, was fatally hit by a four-wheeler, leaving him dead on the spot.

In a protest held later that evening, residents demanded the installation of a speed breaker within a week, citing its absence as the primary cause of frequent accidents in the area.

However, another life was lost the very next day.

Kishore Chaudhary, 54, was riding a scooter when he was hit by another vehicle.

The villagers’ demands for a speed breaker have only grown louder, as they point to the lack of this basic safety measure as the root cause of these avoidable tragedies.
