The North Lakhimpur unit of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on Thursday staged an anti-CAA protest called ‘Ranasinga’.
AASU member and supporters along with the local citizens of the district came out in large numbers and gathered at the North Lakhimpur Govt. HS School playground.
The participants played traditional indigenous musical instruments as they raised anti-CAA slogans and lashed out at the state government for supporting CAA.
Various musical troupes from Lakhimpur and nearby areas came in large numbers and took part in the demonstration.
