The Tezpur University Alumni Association (TUAA) has launched an alumni portal which has recently been developed.

Informing about the launch of the newly-developed alumni portal, Tezpur University through its official Twitter handle requested all the alumni of the university to visit, register and give feedback about the portal.

The link of the portal is https://tuaa.tezu.ernet.in.

Tezpur University on the Twitter handle stated: “Alumni Association (TUAA) has launched a newly developed Alumni Portal. We request all TU alumni to visit, register and give us valuable feedback about the Portal: (link: https://tuaa.tezu.ernet.in/) tuaa.tezu.ernet.in”

Expressing his feelings, Prof. K. M. Baharul Islam, dean, Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur, Uttarakhand, stated on the portal: “An institution where I received the PhD research training that gave me the confidence for independent research.”

Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1994.

The objects of this Central University as envisaged in the statutes are that it shall strive to offer employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the local and regional aspirations and the development needs of the state of Assam.

The university also offers courses and promotes research in areas which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in emerging areas in science and technology.

The TU alumni from literature and natural sciences to super progressive professionals in management and engineering, the former students of Tezpur University are now pioneers in diverse terrains.

Tezpur University is a central university of India situated in a picturesque landscape in famous river town of Assam – Tezpur.

Prabir Chetia, Head – Business Research & Advisory, Aranca, Mumbai, stated on the portal: “Decades past but minds are still fresh with vivid memories of our journey learning the nuances of business management, shuffling between classrooms at Darrang College and then moving to a solitary setup at Napaam, Tezpur.”

“As we moved on to chase our own dreams so is my Alma Mater started the journey from being little know university to making its presence with world class infrastructure, soaring rankings nationally and globally – something that every alumnus is proud of,” stated Chetia.

He further stated, “Best is yet to come and going by the effort of all the stakeholders, I am sure the contribution of Tezpur University to the society will be unparalleled especially to the region.”
