Tezpur Municipal Board evicted illegal shop

Tezpur Municipal Board on Saturday evicted about  55 illegal shops in Mahabharab market connecting to the main road of Tezpur town .

During last three days the Municipal Board has evicted around 150 illegal shops which came up on the main road of the main entrance of the town and which created heavy traffic on the road.

The shop keepers illegally constructed several shops from Dhanua Nagar to Tezpur Chowck Bazar area and the entire town. The sonitpur district administration along with the Municipal Board authority jointly evicted the illegal shops with a JCB machine.

Tezpur Sadar Circle officer Pankaj Samua and Additional Magistrate Prabir Dutta  who led the team said, during the last two days a lot of shops were  vacated. They said that the district authority constantly monitored the reason for traffic jam.

The Municipal Board had earlier warned the shop keepers to take down the shops on the road side, said Puspa Deka Chairman of Tezpur Municipal Board .
