Guwahati: A police team in Baksa, Assam arrested a person for allegedly being involved in marijuana trading.

A police source said that based on inputs, they raided locations in the Simalaguri area of Baksa.

During the raid, the police nabbed a suspected person identified as Gulab Rabbani.

On checking the accused, the police team found nearly 557 grams of suspected cannabis.

The police said that the accused ran a small shop in the vicinity and in this shop, he peddled cannabis.

Around 557 grams of cannabis was seized from the accused during the raid.

He is currently being interrogated by the police in connection with his involvement in the illegal trade.
