Eight sportspersons from Assam have been selected to take part in the 13th Asian Dragon Boat Championships at Foshan, China.
The 13th Asian Dragon Boat Championships will be held from November 15-18.
The Assam players will be part of the 28-member Indian dragon boat racing squad at the championships.
The Assam players are (Men) – Mainudding Ahmed, Rupen Rabha, Md Mushahab Ali
Women – Bijuli Kalita, Beauti Kalita, Hiramani Kalita, Dipandita Kalita and Ameiya Kalita.
Two officials of the Assam Traditional Sports and Dragon Boat Racing Association President Taher Ahmed and Secretary Anup Kr Choudhury, will accompany the Indian team as officials.
