Police on Saturday arrested six people at Pathsala in Assam’s Bajali for violating lockdown orders amid COVID-19 crisis.

They were reportedly roaming outside at Pathsala town and police patrolling party nabbed them.

Birinchi Borah, SDPO, Bajali informed that on the fourth day of lockdown, the police administration intensified patrolling throughout the sub-division and maximum effort is being made to make people aware.

Borah also said law violators whould be dealt with strictly.

Meanwhile, police are also extending helping hand to the deprived.

They distributed food and sanitizers among the inmates of ‘Tapoban’, a shelter home of specially abled and helpless child situated at Pathsala.

Borah also appealed the people to make the lockdown successful for the greater interest of the people.

Meanwhile, police also busted liquior producing units at various corners of the sub-division in the last three days.

SDPO Borah also extended help to a marginalized family and gave them some grocery items incurring expenditure from his own pocket.

He further appealed the general people not to violate law and said police will strict deal with law breakers.
