Assam reported 37 more Covid19 deaths and 1,523 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Sunday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 55,131 tests.
Chief minister Sarma informed that the Assam’s overall positivity percentage stood at 2.76% on Sunday.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro has reported a total of 149 cases.
On Sunday, hundreds of other people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease on SUnday.
According to the data, shared by the Assam chief minister, the state’s recovery rate stood at 93.69% on Sunday.
“Summary of 27/6/2021 – Today’s Total 1523: Overall Positivity Percentage (1523 cases out of 55,131 test done = 2.76%); Kamrup (M) 149; Death 37; Recovery Rate 93.69%,” chief minister Sarma tweeted.
On Saturday, Assam reported 33 deaths due to Covid19 infection.
A total of 2,640 people were infected by Covid19 on Saturday.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro reported 172 cases.
The new cases were confirmed out of 1,27,887 tests on Saturday.
The overall positivity percentage stood at 2.06% on Saturday while the recovery rate stood at 93.33%.
Meanwhile, 32.17 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far across India under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
India administered 64.25 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, Union health ministry said on Sunday.
India reported 50,040 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Active Covid19 cases constitute 1.94% of the total cases, the ministry said.
India has reported a total of 2,92,51,029 recoveries across the country so far and 57,944 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.
